I’ve heard numerous ways to get rid of it, alot have worked alot haven’t. Theres one were you put condition all thru there hair and come it in, leave it for 10 minutes and then wash out. I’ve heard that works particularly well, my cousins daughter used to keep getting it at school adn the teacher there gave her a tip, put heaps of hair spray in there hair, the head lice don’t like it and stay away from the hair – Needless to say do that after you have done the conditoner thru her hair and then before she goes to school that day just cover her hair in hair spray, do this for about a week and they should be gone.

Have you used kwell from the stores, washed your linens, pillows, vacuum carpets,…everything has to be cleaned or thrown out…….the hair, you must get a fine tooth comb and go through every strand.

the best way to get rid of those things is to put some mayo in your head your daughters and any body else in the family. but the mayo all over the head like it where shampoo then get a plastic bag. put the bag on your head leave mayo in four two hours. then when two hours are up use a metal lice pick. next get some dawn dish soap, some pepper mint oil found at a health food store and some meat tenderizer.Put a little bit of peppermint oil in your regular shampoo too lice hate pepper mint oil. putting peppermint oil in reg shampoo helps prevent them too from coming back.the dish soap pulls lice and eggs away from the scalp and the meat tenderizer helps sooth the bites. use lice pick again. then blow dry your hair lice also hate heat. make sure you wash every thing in warm water and things you can not wash bag up for two weeks stuff animals etc. repeat again in two weeks. hope this helps you

If you are treating the lice AND treating properly for the nits that hatch later, she is getting reinfected from someone …

    Nursery school?
    A sibling who doesn’t itch?
    A playmate?

    Or something …
The hairbrush and barettes and hats and scarves?
    Her stroller cushions?
    Her favorite toys?

All it takes is ONE pregnant female louse and it’s infection all over.

Find a hair dye close to your daughter’s hair color and use it on her. Lice will not go on dyed hair. That’s if you have tried everything else.

Here is what we did and it worked after being frustrated for a while:

Colouring her hair will not likely work and the mayo answer will be messy and may or may not work either. The chemical shampoo that you buy ends up with mixed results for many. Alot of head lice are becoming resistent to the chemcials that once worked and many people are choosing to not pour chemicals all over their heads.

For a good chemical-free approach that works, you will need to use something like the NitFree line of chemical free head lice products to get rid of the ones that are chemical resistant. This is happening more often now than ever before.

NitFree has a great mousse that works to dissolve the glue that is holding the nits to your hair. The NitFree terminator comb is great as it is a high quality comb that pulls the lice and nits out of your hair. And I would say that the comb is the key. If you do not get all of the eggs (nits) out, you will just have them hatching again in a week or so. Our daughter has thick long hair and this comb worked for us.

You will likely want to use the mousse twice (two bottles) and then after two applications of it, I would just coat your hair with conditioner and comb through with their comb wiping it on a tissue to see if you are getting any nits out.

We buy the NitFree products at kleen-free. com.

Additionally, you need to make sure that all of your clothes and bedding and pillow have been washed and/or dried at very high temperatures to get rid of the lice that may be off your body right now.

Good luck. You can get rid of them this way and you are not doing harm to yourself or the environment with this solution. We went through what you are going through and this what worked for us. We were nit free in 3 days using these products.
