Head lice completely freak me out! I’m afraid to swim in my pool and I fear it will get lice. I’m just going crazy! What should I do with my pool? I’ll have nightmares!

I would think that the chlorine would kill the little boogers but I’m not positive.
I feel for you… I am 15 and my sister is 12 and she got headlice like 6 months ago and gave it to me and we just can’t get rid of it!!
Ok first off just dump your pool out if its a little pool and if its a big pool then the filters will take care of them, noting to worry about you can go swimming!!
Ok as for your couzin make sure her parents take her home right away and start nit picking her hair and using special shampoo and that they don’t let her go anywhere until its gone and tell them to wash everything (pillows, blinkets, stuffed animals…) in hot water to kill any lice!! Also your couzin should have learned not to share hats and such but if not now is a good time for her parents to teach her that!!
If she was in your room or something then just wash your pillows and such in hot water and you should be fine… also tee tree oil is suppost to help prevent headlice!!
Go to the drug store and get some lice meds . Did they sleep over if so make sure you get rid of the sheets . as far as the pool it should be fine but if u want to be on the safe side use something like shock it or put some extra chems in the pool. if u want you can all so use the lice meds for yourself .
