you need to go to the store and buy RID, the lice shampoo, a lice comb, lice spray for bedding and clothes……..

Any type of lice shampoos will help this . . you need to treat everyone in the family, too. This will mean inspecting everyone’s scalp for adult lice and eggs attached to the hair . . . all bedding needs to be stripped and cleaned daily in hot water and dried in a hot dryer daily including the pillows . . . stuffed animals from the child’s room need to be put in a garbage bad and tied off – leave them in there for at least two weeks . . . you can also purchase a spray for your furniture and beds . . . spray your car too . . . initially wash the hair and comb out all the nits with the comb you will receive with the shampoo (this is a tedious task and depending on hair thickness could take hours) . . . you will retreat with the shampoo in seven/ten days . . . check head daily for any adult lice . . .

There are medicated shampoos available. Remember the eggs are a problem also . Along with scalp treatment all bedding clothing etc that the child comes into contact with should be thouroughly cleaned.

More common than people credit…infestations are a natural incident of adolescence and should be treated as such. Most cases of infestation can be accurately diagnosed and treated with over the counter medication (RID, etc) and preventative measures (wash bedding, treat other household members, notify day care/school). You mentioned bleeding. This is a secondary change to the scalp from vigorous scratching (not really from the lice) and anti-pruritic (atarax, diphenhydramine, etc) medication might help alleviate the itch. Keep an eye on secondary infection if scalp changes do not heal promptly and notify your physician. Good luck!

That is really disgusting. go to the pharmacy and ask him ofr a bottle of lice remover. You could be spreading it everywhere. they sell it without a prescription. If it is an infant then see a doctor.

If her scalp is bleeding I’d be on my way to the ER.

First of all don’t be ashamed. Lice only attack clean heads and hair. Either get a good brand shampoo that is specifically for getting rid on the lice, together with a fine comb or visit the doctor for advice. Personally I would go with the latter purely because of the bleeding scalp. Alternatively ask the Pharmacist for his recommendation.

You can walk into any drug store and buy something off the shelf, I know Rid makes shampoo for crabs, but I think their main product is for head lice. You can get stronger stuff if you see a doctor or clinic, but Rid usually works if you shampoo often enough like directed on the bottle.

shave her head. shave yourself. delouse your home. tell the school. then report yourself to child services for neglecting your child for so long.

Then But Lice Freeeeeeeee Gel and Let it sit for however long the box says, Then go it Throughly with a comb, you Might want To But a spray To spray on your couch and stuff. a cheaper way to do it is wash your head with flea killer, and thn soak your head in safflower oil Over night, Put on a shower cap while you sleep.

Go to the store now and buy RID. Sounds like you may need to treat her more than once, and then wash EVERYTHING in your house – linen, etc., in HOT water, or, throw it out and burn it.

Here is a link to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and their advice on the right treatment for head lice.
Lice exist as lice insects and unhatched eggs or nits. You have to remove both the lice and the nits from the hair and scalp.
The nits glue themselves onto the hair shafts so they have to be removed with a special comb. The lice medicine only kills live lice.
It is important to follow all the directions for de-lousing completely.

Get to the chemist quick time and buy a nit comb and a big bottle of Prioderm, wash all the bedding and clothes on 60 degrees then put in the dryer. Make sure you keep her hair up for school and drill it into her head not to put her head near ANYONE.

  15. YeahYeah says:

Rid works well, but I have also heard of putting mayonaise on the head for a couple of hours. Put it on heavy. I would suggest the Rid though.

  16. jimbobb1 says:

poor kid, check with the pharmacist at your local drug store for the one they reccomend. rid comes to mind. i would also let your childs friends parents know so they can keep an eye on their kids too. good luck

  17. doyanail says:

Shampoo her with lice shampoo and clean all of her bedding with hot water, detergent and bleach. Dry it in a hot dryer. Spray her mattress and carpet(whatever you can’t wash) with insecticide designed to kill lice. And repeat this procedure in a week. In between comb her hair with a lice comb to remove the nits(eggs)

  18. karen wonderful says:

Yuck! How did it get so out of hand? You need to get a lice treatment from the drug store and comb the eggs out. It will take a while to remove all the eggs but you have to do it.

  19. realist not racist says:

Go to the link below it will explain a LOT.
Yes get “rid”shampoo hair, all family members need to be checked, wash all clothes, bedding, spray furniture with RID furniture spray.
A lot of work ahead for you

  20. G. M. says:

RID from the pharmacy and lots of laundry. You need to wash EVERYTHING in HOT water, including bedding, hats, clothes, stuffed animals, etc. Use the comb that came with it.
    Treat everyone in the family.

  21. Sir J says:

  22. Igloo Fondo says:

I’m sorry…get some medicine and it will be gone in no time. Good luck

I had a similar problem with my child a few months ago. I tried several types; the shampoos not only did nothing, but also caused further iritation.
I found and electronic comb for lice removal. It was a bit more pricey, but considering the amount I’d already spent in vain…
I followed the instructions and that took care of the problem.
    Hope I could help! :^>
