I triedolive oil and it did not work at all. What i used and my cousin uses on his daughter is cat flea and tick shampoo.

olive oil, or real mayonaise. slop it on their head nice & thick, put a shower cap on them & send them to bed for the night. then make sure you check for nits every night for at least a week.

Nope they do not work. I would reccomend you get “Pronto” Pronto works the best. Pronto has 3 steps 1 lice killing shampoo, 2 egg killing shampoo and combing out the nits. It’s alot better than all the lice killing shampoos around. You can find it at any drug store.

Ive never tried those things but I have used Mayonnaise use a lot of it and leave it in for about three hours, when you wash it out their hair will be oily and lice free, it is good to repeat it in a few days just in case you missed eggs also clean all of their things i.e. pillows, toys, cloths, friends, carpets that kind of thing,

Use RID. Treat once, then follow up again in about 10 days. This will give any left over eggs time to hatch but not enough time for the hatchlings to mature and mate. Make sure you thoroughly wash all things that the infected heads could have come in contact with. Boil or throw away combs, brushes, etc. If you can’t wash something you can stick in a sealed plastic bag and leave for several weeks.

The ONLY safe way to get rid of head lice permanently is to use a totally natural alternative to the chemical preparations then use prevention methods such as hairspray and tea tree mixed with water in a spray bottle every day to ensure they never return.

You are right to want to stay away from chemical head lice treatments. Before you listen to anyone advising you to use a pesticide treatment please consider the following:

No chemical head lice treatment is legally allowed to be labeled as ‘safe’ as every insecticide is a poison.

Lindane for example is a known carcinogen and is now banned in 52 different countries. Yet it is still used in more than 6 million prescriptions in the US. Google ‘Jesse’s Story Head Lice’ for more. All lice killing pesticides are a poison and have the potential to cause serious damage, even if used as directed.

If a lice treatment does not work once it is not going to work twice, in fact the lice that live will breed into a whole new batch that are resistant to that chemical.

Read these articles and try to find a natural remedy containing Neem oil as this renders the lice unable to breed therefore making it impossible for them to build up a resistance.

    Good luck, we’ve been there.
