ummm, stay away from those bugs
Get some rid for lice at the drugstore.Apply it and then comb out all the eggs. Then wash everything, all bedding, sheets pillowcases!!If you think you know where you got it from tell them so they can get it treated or else you will wind up getting it again!!
See the site below for identification and treatment of head lice.
Here’s a site the explains a lot…If you don’t want to use a chemical on your child’s head, the most effective treatment that doesn’t involve using any products at all simply involves removing the nits and live lice with a lice comb and/or tweezers. This is the method that is advocated by The National Pediculosis Association. It can be time consuming to do this and you may have to repeat the procedure for several days to make sure you get them all, but this is likely the best thing to do. You still have to take the time to comb out all of the nits anyway even if you use an anti-lice shampoo, as these shampoos don’t kill the eggs. If you don’t, they will just hatch and you will have live lice again.

The best remedy for head lice is one that does not use chemicals or involves hours of picking nits out with a fine tooth comb is to simply shave your head. It really will grow back, and you know for sure that the little creatures are gone.
Get an over the counter lice medicine, such as Rid or Rid X. My mom has worked at an elementary school for 20 years and they suggest using this brand- as it really works well for getting rid of lice. It may be a little more pricey, but it is definitely worth it. Also, cut the hair. You have to go through the hair and pull out all of the dead lice bugs and eggs. It is important and necessary to get all of the eggs out because they are not necessarily all killed with the Rid X shampoo. It should come with a metal or plastic comb. The metal works a lot better at taking out the eggs and bugs. This is why cutting the hair works out better too because it will take less time. You also want to take all of the sheets, pillowcases, stuffed animals etc off the bed and replace it with fresh linens after you have shampooed and pulled the eggs and bugs out of the hair. Lice is a very time consuming bug.
Humans have been searching for ways to fight those critters since the beginning of time! Seriously, the recent epidemics in school children have brought pesticide resistant strains that are very hard to eradicate!
There are several over the counter remedies that you can buy at Walmart, Walgreens or other stores. Look for RID, which ‘says’ it kills both bugs and eggs, but I’ve found on my children that it doesn’t do the job it says. You must be patient and wash all your sheets and blankets in HOT water, dry them in a hot dryer for at least 20 minutes, and put all stuffed animals that can’t be washed in a plastic bag for 3 weeks.
Stay away from ‘home remedies’ like mayonaise!!! People say it smothers them, but it didn’t work at all on my daughter! And it left a bad smell, even after shampooing it out.
I’ve heard vinegar works by disolving the glue that the eggs are held on to the hair shaft. You must always comb out those eggs and pull them out gently because they are hard to get rid of..however if you don’t get out the eggs, they will just come back.
Keep on top of the situation by treating all the kids and adults in the home and cleaning their bedding and even car seats and sofas the same day. Get a METAL comb specially designed for lice. It works much better than those cheap plastic ones that come in the kits. And be prepared to spend at least half an hour to an hour a day in bright light combing through damp hair and pulling out nits. Put any dead or treated nits/lice in a bowl of hot water and rinse down the sink. Wash all towels used during the process in hot water and dry them just like the bedding, immediately.
Then Re-Treat again in one week!!! That is important! Any eggs you missed will hatch and the young lice will need to be killed.
To tell you the truth, some people have tried shampoos that have the same ingredients as dog shampoo. I’m not suggesting it, but I’ve *heard that as a last resort it worked when nothing else would. Just remember to follow all the rest of the steps above, and be careful where you or your kids go to lay their head so they don’t get them again.
It is SUPER EASY to catch lice! They know no social or economic boundaries and will find their way into any home no matter how clean, so don’t let anyone tell you it’s because you did something wrong.
ANYONE can get lice! Even celebrities, rock stars, and politicians. Getting rid of them is the hard part, but with time and proper attention to those details, you can do it. If all else fails, ask your family doctor. He or she will certainly have some good advice for you.
